RTF - Artifact Element - Hyperlink Does Not Work
« on: April 04, 2009, 07:55:45 am »
Hello,

When I create a hyperlink in the document editor of an Artifact Element, it works perfectly. But when I generate an RTF report, with that Artifact Element, the hyperlink does not work. I get an error message in the RTF Report: “Cannot open specified file” In looking at the URL, it has changed to include file:///

I’m curious if anyone knows what the solution is to getting the hyperlink to work in the RFT.

Thanks,

Dermot

I am not sure what build you are using, but it does work in version 7.5.

I was using 7.5 - and just dowloaded the latest buid (843) this moring, to see if that would change anything. It still doesn't work.

I may not be explaining this as well as I could.

In EA, when I use the 'Artifact' Element, under the 'Common' in the Tool Box - I double click that element and create a hyperlink (in the document editor). Once the hyperlink is created, it works within EA -- I double click the hyperlink and I'm directed to that url.

But when I create an RTF report with that Artifact Element, which includes the hyperlink - in the RTF Report, the link doesn't work.

I'm not seeing where I'm able to attach a file - to show the RTF with the link and error message.
