7.5 Make Same | Height is broken
« on: April 22, 2009, 10:53:00 am »
Don't quite understand it. In the earlier version, I could select several Activity Partition objects and from the menu, choose Element | Make Same | <whatever> and the behavior was consistent: to wit, the last selected object was the one used as the "template", if you will.

In 7.5, no matter what sequence is used, it doesn't work right. All the objects are resized to the minimum height.

Furthermore, the Help says to select the to-be-modified items, then lastly select the "template" object, and context-click (which I interpret as right-mouse). However, this doesn't work either because the context menu does not allow me any Make Same-type choices.

My context menu contains the Make Same Choices.  At the top there is Add-Ins, followed by alignment options, then Same Height, Same Width and Same Height and Width.

However, I have noticed that if you Ctrl or Shift click a currently not selected object on the diagram, it selects it, but doesn't set it as the focus element.  I believe this is what is causing you issue with it not using the last selected object when using the main menu.  (It will be using the top left instead I suspect.)

A single left click on an already selected object will set context and the main menu will work again for you.

Please send in a bug report for this issue.
