Tagged Values
« on: May 04, 2009, 09:45:45 am »
The Tagged Values window is not visible (either thru menu or thru the shortcut).  How do I fix this?

I am using 7.5

TIA, Pete

A guess here...

First, make sure you don't have it docked in a window set someplace. I've done this to myself with another docked window, and spent a long time wondering where it was, only to 'discover' it when I accidentally clicked its tab by mistake.

Sometimes a docked window in EA becomes invisible because its screen coordinates put if off the screen (i.e. it is actually visible, but you simply cannot see it). This can happen (for example) when you have two monitors and switch back to one (perhaps you have a laptop and a second monitor in the office. If EA was on the second monitor then the EA main window will be repositioned when you go back to one monitor.

Try resetting the screen layout - use the options under the View menu - to see if the tagged values pane reappears.
No, you can't have it!

You are right - I am using two monitors. I tried searching for the panel in both windows - no avail.

But on my version of EA there is no View | Option menu item. There is only an Option menu item under Tools, and it doesn't have anything regarding resetting the screen layout.

Thanks, Pete

Never mind.

I found it under View | Visual Layouts. What's confusing is that Default Layout is already checked which makes one think that one is already using the default layout.

I think that unchecking it and re-checking it did the trick.

Thanks, Pete
