Import a Model Branch
« on: May 22, 2009, 12:32:30 am »
Hello,

I am quite new at using EA, so please let me know if some of the things I am doing are wrong.  We have tried the product for individual projects and liked it, and now we are expanding it so a number of us can view and modify our UML documentations under version control.

The problem comes with the version control.  I tried putting individual packages under version control, but if I have nested packages, they will not be preserved and need to be added as individual packages, hence the hierachy won't be maintained.

If I try "Add Brach to Version Control", it seems to be able to add it fine, but my coworker won't be able to bring it in using the "Import a Model Branch".  When we click on it, it simply does nothing.

Please advise if I am doing something wrong.  Also, are there any "best practice" or a preferred way to handle version control?

EA version: 7.1.834 Professional
Version Control: Surround SCM (SCC)

Thanks in advance!
