« on: July 16, 2009, 11:19:48 am »
Hi,

Anyone else seeing this?

<context menu>|Instance Classifier Ctrl-L

Browse tab only returns -- <none>

Search tab seems to work.

To clarify - there is no model hierarchy at all shown in the Browse tab?
Have you specified a namespace with no visible content?

My system displays a huge hierarchy for the full model (<any>) and content for any namespace I specify.
Best Regards, Roy

Yes Roy, there is NO hierarchy of any kind with ANY (including <any> ;) ) namespace.
As I said, what's weird is that the search is working fine (and is my work-around) including filtering by namespace.

Preliminary checks appear to show that this happens if there is an empty model at the top of the hierarchy. The Browser seems to always look at the first model and, if it is empty, takes that as a cue that the rest of the project is also empty. Workaround is to ensure that the first root module always contains at least one element. The developer who worked that out has now ensured that the Browser checks all models before making any decisions about the project.

If that isn't your problem, we can't see how the error is possible. If the Browse isn't working, the Search should fail too. So if that solution didn't work, please submit a bug report with as much detail as possible, so the support guys can further investigate.

Thanks.

That WAS the problem...

I submitted a bug report before I came back on to the forum so I'd also diagnosed the issue.

I hope it will be rectified - as that use case is surely simplistic...
