Export/Import Sequence Diagram lost message

When export/import sequence diagrams to XMI packages, the message between objects get lost. It's only happens when using objects as linked elements and the linked objects are outside the the exporting packages.  Tried on EA build 806 and 848.

Reading the forum it's seams be a known issues, is there a work-arround?

We are discovering this as well, and consider it a major problem.
