WAN Optimizer Server Failure
« on: August 12, 2009, 06:59:23 am »
We are running 7.5.847 and are trying to setup a MySQL repository. The settings are correct, including MySQL ODBC drivers and the ODBC data required specifying source of data and log on info to the server. I am successful in connecting to the WAN Optimizer, then when I try to copy an existing model into the repository, the WAN Optimizer fails and I get a "Not Responding" error. Are there any suggestions as to why this fails?
Thanks,
Mark

I was wondering if you had found a solution for this as we are experiencing the same thing when we try to open a project.

Well, we have found a temporary work around for this. During the setup of the repository, instead of choosing the WAN optimizer in the "Connection Name & Type" window, we make sure there is only the name of the repository/database we are trying to connect to and have the Encrypt Connection String checked.

We do not select either of the options, "Lazy Load" or "Use WAN Optimization". This lets us connect.
