Transform Selection TOO sticky
« on: December 17, 2009, 01:01:55 pm »
The Model Transformation [Ctrl+H] [Ctrl+Shift+H) dialog doesn't allow you to unmark a transform permanently.  If you unmark it for this run, it's back the next time you open the dialog.

However, if you change the transform templates, the check box is unmarked and the pointer to the desired target disappears!

What use case does this behaviour support?

Steps:
Select and mark  transform in Model Transform dialog.
Close dialog
Open dialog.
Observe transform is still marked.
Unmark transform.
Close dialog
Open dialog.
Observe transform is still (incorrectly) marked.

It allows you to update a subset to the targets in a transformation without requiring to re-specify the other transforms next time you want to run it.

Edit: Given that, I dispute your comment about selected transforms being incorrectly marked.

So how do you support the use case:
I no longer want this transform to be applied.

The use case you mention is a subordinate one to the one I've just mentioned.  It should be enabled by a checkbox to distinguish between remove permanently and this run only..
