Inconsistent behaviour UItoolbox and quicklinks

Hi all,
I have created an MDG technology that includes UML profile and a UI toolbox profile.

It seems to work fine except when I try to:

• use the quicklink to attach a couple of elements; or
• use the toolbox relationship palette to create a relationship.

If I don't have any quicklinks defined the UI toolbox relationship tool I defined doesn't work. If I do have quicklinks defined, the toolbox works once. Then just adds a vanilla dependency (the type of relationship is UML Dependency with a stereotype I gave it)

In addition, the quicklink (and UI toolbox) menu shows a blank entry, which seems to do the same as the displayed entry. I've tried to include a shot of the lack of menu text. It's on twitpic for those who are interested.



As far as I can tell, all my quicklink items are correct. None of my namespace entries have spaces, etc.

Any advice or directions to documentation over and above the standard doco would be welcome.

A quick update,
the UI toolbox palette tool for my stereotyped Dependency works the first time the diagram is shown.

that is, It will add the appropriate (in this case RuleDependency) relationship once then revert to plain Dependency.

If I close the diagram and reopen it, I can add another one. Could there be an error happening?

There's nothing in the system output. Is there a log file or something with a bit more detail (assuming this is on the right track).

Another update.
I've solved the blank menu item problem. I had too many targets, one in the target stereotype quicklink entry and one in the new element stereotype entry.

However, the problem of not being able to use a toolbox connector more than once remains. The quicklinker works as expected but if I've used the quicklinker or the toolbox once before then the menus don't show up if I select the connector from the toolbox palette.

If I close and reopen the diagram I can add another one then it reverts to ignoring the link stereotypes and quicklink entries.

I'm trying to set up the environment so our modellers can work without having to think too much about the mechanics of modelling but this is starting to get in the way. If anyone has any clue as to what I might be doing wrong I would be delighted to hear it.

I can't think what the problem might be. Can you send your technology file to support please, then we can run it through the debugger and find out what is going on. Thanks.
