Error 80040154 connecting to server / Win XP x64

I am getting an error dialog with the following details while connecting to a server:


Code = 80040154
Code meaining - Class not registered
Source = (null)
Description = (null)

It is the first time that I am using EA on Windows XP x64. It seems like some DLL is not registered.

Can you please help me fixing this issue?

Make sure you have set up 32 bit drivers and ODBC connections.  EA only operates in 32 bits.  (Not that I can guarantee that will fix it for you)

I am using the 32bit ODBC driver for MySQL.

I have managed to import a project into the database using a Windows XP 32bit workstation. The XP 64 bits workstation can open the project without any problem by specifying the database path in the 'Open Project' window and flagging 'Connect to Server'. The 'Connect to Server...' dialog still does not work and I get the error dialog as in my first post.

Please let me know if I can provide any further detail on the configuration.
