Stereotype from GUI elements
« on: June 01, 2010, 09:38:54 pm »
When making an element of the GUIElement type, you can couple a stereotype to it.
To do this, you open the properties dialog and click the dropdown stereotype.
You can now see almost all stereotypes 2 or 3 times. However when examining the list of stereotypes in Settings/UML.../Stereotypes, they all exist only once...
Where does EA get those doubles and can they be deleted?

Probably has something to do with the bug(s) Paolo reported about this subject.
I think they've sort of messed it up at Sparx.

Yep. This whole stereotyping is messed up. That's what you get when you add functionality without thinking about usability and possible consequences. We'll probably not see that fixed in our lives.

Inconsistently correct systems DON'T EXIST!
... Therefore, aim for consistency; in the expectation of achieving correctness....
