DB2 ODBC Import: "unable to obtain table info
« on: July 02, 2010, 07:09:38 pm »
Hi,
when trying to import a database schema via ODBC, we get following error message after entering username and password:
"Unable to obtain table information"

It's a DB2 database on an OS/390 machine and we are using the IBM DB2 ODBC Driver, with which we can successfully connect.
Using EA 8.0.858 Enterprise Trial.

Please advise!

Cheers,
Chris

Sekhar, in case you have the same problem (or whatever you wanted to achieve by quoting my post without adding anything ;)):
I have created an email support request regarding this issue and a week later I received the sad feedback:
"EA supports reverse engineering of DB2 UDB on Windows and Linux Platforms. EA doesn't support on OS/390 DB2."

Chris,

I was new to this forum, all I wanted was to just subscribe to the answers to your post.
BTW I got my problem resolved, it was an issue with the DB2 install itself. The reinstall made the trick, I am now able to reverse engineer DB2 tables to UML elements.

Cheers !  :)
