Can't find "functionality"
« on: July 31, 2010, 06:36:32 am »
I'm having problems with EA 8 (build 860) crashing during search, especially for the word "functionality."   (Really, lots of other terms will work, but it does not like "functionality.")  I'm running on Windows XP, version 2002, SP 3.

This doesn't happen for small models, but for our larger model (about 1,500 packages, 12,500 elements), it's a sure way to crash the system.  This also happened with the 858 build.  It will happen from the quick search box on the Start Page or if I open the Model Search and enter it there.

I'm piloting version 8 for our company and would like an answer before we install this for too many others.

Any ideas?

You probably have some broken element in the model that contains the term "functionality".
Have you run the "Project Integrity Check"?
