Visio import (with MDG Tech plugin) crashes EA

I've tried with EA 8.0 855 and 862, and EA consistently crashes when I try to import Visio documents using "Add-in|Microsoft Visio|Import Visio Documents..." from a drop down menu.

It seems that it always fails when trying to import the connectors, no matter which size and complexity of Visio document I try (Visio 10). Any ideas, please? Perhaps the MDG plugin is too old for Visio 10?

Didn't help with an older Visio vile though - same problem...

I had a similar problem importing Visio 2003 diagrams a while back (3yrs+). I recall the visio MDG importer didn't seem to work properly with SQL server repository but did with and EAP file. The work around was to import it into and EAP file then export the result as XMI and then import into a SQL Server repository.
What repository database are you using?
