Different color palet for Legend and elements

Today I thought it was a wise idea to add some colors in my diagram. This is easy to do. Next I want to add a legend. Also no problem, but now I had to match the colors in my diagram to the colors in my legend and now there is a problem. It seems that a different color palet tool is used and therefor the colors in my diagram are not used in my legend ... how the purpose of a legend has become less meaningful.

Still using V7.5 these days ...

(Not 100% sure if this is available with 7.5. )

• Once the legend is created you can select Fill Color in the legend properties.
• In this dropdown dialog select Other.
• Within the next dialog (Color) select the pipette (Select...) and click on one of your diagram elements.

I have forgotten about this option so this was good wake-up call for me. But I am still curious why the first color selection interface with the legend is completely different then for an element within a diagram. For me it would be logical to use the same color selection interface for both an element as for the legend or any other color selection options (such as for borders or fonts).

Don't worry, inconsistent colour palette dialogues are still in use in 8.0
