I have been using an RTF document template for use cases, for quite some time. Now, all of a sudden, ALL the diagrams are smaller in the RTF output than they used to be. I checked the diagram settings, which should not have changed, but I cannot find a problem.

Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks, Alan

Alan, I'm not sure it's the identical issue, but similar...

I noticed today, when exporting via RTF and then pulling in to MSWord, the diagrams were very small.

I resized them in Word, and subsequent updates seem to be coming in at the correct size.

I've been fiddling with similar issues where Word is ignoring a subset of styles, until I manually set them (for example table heading in the rtf is changed to normal in Word). Once I've manually changed them once, subsequent imports work!

I'm wondering if there has been an update to Word that is making weirdness happen.

It turns out that my Diagram Format (EA RTF doc gen window, Advanced tab) keeps getting reset to "Metafile", after I change it to "Bitmap." If I change that right before I generate the document, they come out fine. However, once I leave the RTF doc gen window, it reverts to "Metafile."

Weird! At least I have a workaround now.

Sounds like you don't realise the image format is saved in the template being run and that the settings on the dialog allow you to override those options for the single run of the generator.

Assuming that the template is yours and therefore editable.

Open the template editor and select: File|Document Options|Diagram Format (It's about the second line from the bottom of the "Document Options tab, near the centre)

We detected that the size of diagrams in generated RTFs also depend on the display layout for the first monitor.

RTFs generated on a 24" monitor are differently generated (much smaller) than generated on 19" monitors.
