Unable to edit a version controlled file
« on: February 19, 2011, 05:33:57 am »
Hello,

EAVersion 7.5

I am having a strange probelm with EA version control. Some month back I configured EA file with subversion. Things were working fine then. Some days later one of the users checked-out a package and he forget to checkin back. Now i want want to modify that package, but I can't do that. EA shows a message

"The selected package cannot be checked-out at this time.
It is currently checked-out in this model, by user 'user_name'."

Strange thing is that that user can't check-in/undo check-out the changes.

I tried some workarounds.

1. Just tried to work offline. But still EA asks for prior check-out for editing.
2. Tried to delete the package and build from scratch. EA doesn't allow that.

Is there a way to edit this file?

Regards,
Faisal M

Free the file in subversion, and then a "Synch status with VC provider" should solve things.
