908 crashing with NO messages

EA 908 crashed twice on me within minutes this morning,
once when aligning elements vertically in a diagram, the second time when saving a linked document.

EA produced no error message dialogue.

MORE disturbingly there was no event registered in the system log and visible in the Event Viewer

Interesting.
I'm using EA V8.0 Build 864 on Vista and found it to crash free. However the other day I was consulting with one of my colleagues using EA V8.0 on XP SP3 and it crashed. Which reminded when I was using V8.0 on XP it crashed a couple of times a week. So it posses the question does the combination of EA on XP have some stability issues? :-/

I'm using EA on XP pretty intensively and I've used every version that was released the last two years, and to be honest I've hardly had any crashes at all.
The only times EA crashed on me was when I was running low on GDI objects.
For some reason there is a hard limit in the number of GDI resources that XP has. These resources are used by any program that does anything with GUI windows.
If I used up all the resources by then EA used to crash hard (no message or anything, just disappear), but I always know what was happening because i could open any other extra window anymore (not even a context menu in windows).
Recently I have the feeling that EA is using less GDI objects then before because it's a long time since it last crashed on me.

Thanks, I'll try that. But the rest of my XP system continued to work fine (the first thing I did was go to the Event Viewer).
