Comparing Diagram to baseline
« on: December 24, 2011, 04:23:52 am »
when you compare a diagram to a baseline, the comparison does not detect if you change the name of a use case or if you add association, it seems that it will only detect when you add, remove, or move an element (actor, use case, etc..)

Anyone had this problem, or is a bug ? (i'm using 9.2)
thx

However, when you compare the whole package to the baseline everything is detected in a list (defenitely not as visual since we're not comparing the diagram).

This is probably not a problem but working as designed. Diagram objects just refer to the real objects. If you change an element it automatically is changed in all diagrams. Same applies for connectors. If you add/remove it from the elements its done dynamically for all diagrams. It should however detect changes in the visibility of connectors since they are individual per diagram.

I started a topic on this under Suggestions and Requests: http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1325687998.
If it gets another vote or two, I'll zap off an official request. I'm sure Sparx are looking for some feedback on this since it's a new function.
My theories are always correct, just apply them to the right reality.
