RTF Documentation: only first Diagram of Component
« on: January 17, 2012, 03:30:46 am »
EA v. 8.0.864

If I generate a documentation containing Diagrams and use the simple search to identify a single component in my model, it only generates the first diagram into my document.
(If I tick the box 'exclude image from documentation' for the first diagram, it doesn't generate any diagram at all)

It could well be unrelated...but i spent a morning last week pulling what little hair i have left out over what i'm sure is an RTF bug...that caused Sparx to skip packages/diagrams/elements in RTF reports...

In the end if turned out to be a problem with carriage returns at the after a table in a section. If you don't have a carriage return after your table, ie you just have the corresponding section close - Sparx seems to sparadically skip/miss the next element (package/diagram etc) in your report...

could be linked to this, try making sure that each section has two carriage returns before its closed...

Regards,

Jon.

Hi,
I tryed it, it's unrelated -- still only the first diagram, I think there is a Problem with the way EA handles subcomponents.

It's really bad that there is no debugging for the RTF- and Code-Generator, could help solving a lot of issues to see what happens when and why :)

Hi Niv,

One thing i noticed last week - build 9.22 just launched does appear to have a number of rtf bug fixes...if you can it might be worth upgrading and seeing if the problem goes away :-)....
