Thanks. So I created a stereotype this way, but I failed making it avaiable to my selected MDG technologies (UML, UML extended and threat modeling).  I read several documentation pages and queried AI bots, but found no conclusive way.

Wanting to resize an artifact element with an alternate image smaller than the default limit, I thought I could write a shape script. However, I could not find a complete reference that would explain how to do this in EAShapeScript.
Is there any guidance how to do this?

Model views do the job in principle, but they have a too rigid hierarchy for larger models. The only level where one can add elements is the favorites folder. Also it is not possible to drag and drop a complete subtree.

Does anybody have an alternative?

(Not sure if I understand this. I am using views. But how can I have an element in 2 views without duplicating it?)

After some research I do understand. And with eaDocX 3.4 one can do document generation base on model views. I have to test this in detail, but it looks like that model views are the solution for my requirement.

General Board / copy element with link in the project browser?

EA has a dialog to copy/paste elements from other packages into a diagram with a "as link" option, so that changes to the element propagated to all diagrams where the element is references.

I am looking for a similar behavior in the project browser, which would allow an element to occur in different views and packages. My rationale for this is that I am working with a different models in the same project: a generic one and a project-specific one. The latter inherits from the former, and I want to avoid redundant work if changes apply to both models. And reports for the specific model should be self-contained, without referencing the general model.

Is it possible to solve this with EA?

In my understanding WSDL specifies a service contract, which is equivalent to an interface in the sense, that it does not include an implementation. What is the rationale to make the WSDL a component?

Bugs and Issues / EA main window stays always in foreground

EA's main window does not show other windows, be it some pop-up such as an eaDocX dialogue windows or another application. I need to make the EA window small and move it around before I use a function that opens a modal dialogue.

I updated to build 1010 on Win 7, but it did not help.

I found the problem. The TV _is_ available, but the UI is not as I expected. I looked for an option in the TV window to add a value. However, one needs to select "tagged value" from "advanced" in the element's  context menu. Then only one can add the value in a second step.

Is there an easier path? Could a TV type made be part of a stereotype by default, possibly containing a default value, that the TV would behave like a basic property of an element?

If the solution involves the creation of an MDG: can I extend an existing profile or have to create a new one. I this a light-weight process?

The documentation on page "Create Structured Tagged Values" says, that "The Tagged Value type displays in the Defined Tag Types list" after I press save. It does not mention any extra steps that are needed to make it usable.

Re: functions as designed: I do not understand. If I put no "Apply To" statement, it should apply to all element types. But it does not show up at any type.

I created a tagged value type "Area of Applicability" with this spec in the Details field:
Type=Enum; Values=B2B,B2C,C2G,Intranet; Default=Common;
AppliesTo=Feature;Requirement

When I edit or create a new feature, the new tagged value type does not show up. It happens also when I remove the AppliesTo statement.

Bugs and Issues / Paste plain text from clipboard to richtext box

I frequently need to copy/paste text blocks from Word or PDF files, but would like to remove the styles to achieve a consistent output later on.

Except pasting/copying to/from Notepad in between, ist there a faster way in EA to past only the plain text?
