It wouldbe a nice new feature to have the ability to change the direction of text in Sparx.

The issue has to do with the default model. When i make an html web report by clicking on the root folding in the project browser i get the issue above and i am unable to select anything for the default diagram. When i click on the package (the folder one level below the root folder) this issue doesnt happen and I am able to select the model default diagram.

I have tried deleting some items from the project browser which fixes the issue but also removes items from the project I need. I am unable to narrow it down to a specific item(s) in the project browser

General Board / Sparx 9.3 HTML Report Error

I just upgraded to Sparx 9.3 when i right click on the root package and select "HTML Report" I get an error message then I am able to make the HTML report. I did not have any issues doing this same thing with sparx 9.2 and just double checked.

In Sparx how do i draw a arrow with only one connection. For example i want to draw an arrow that is connected to nothing on one end and to an activity on the other end.

General Board / New Diagram Types

I access a sparx file from multiple computers. One one when click "New Diagram" I am presented with the types "UML Structure" And "UML Sequence". On the other computer i dot see those options. How do i update what i see at this screen?

Thanks everyone for the help. The auditing logs was the issue. By deleting the unused images and auditing logs i was able to go from 167 MB to 30 MB!

I have a Sparx file which is 160 MB in size.

I have deleted all the loaded images (settings->images) stored in the file reducing the file size to 110 MB after i compacted the file (Tools->manage EAP file->compact file)

I then deleted everything under the project browser then compressed the EAP file resulting in the file growing to 115 MB.

When i export the xml of the diagrams then import them into a new file the project is only 50 MB in size but lacks the images. Does anyone know what i could look into removing to reduce the size of my sparx file?

I ended up finding the sparx profile file. To fix the issue all i needed to do was change "FlowPort" to "flowport" in the profile and then re-import that UML profile into the sparx i am using.

What could have caused this issue?

The issue does have something to do with the flow port steriotype. i have a custom Shape Script which i originally though could be the problem. i have tried deleting the entire shape script so the script is blank. Still the port comes up as the wrong size. I then tried override appearance -> none. Still no help.

When deleting the stereotype it does fully solve this size issue. The problem this creates is that i dont have the EAP file for the Sparx profile I am using. With sparx 9.2 can i rescue my UML profile? I dont think i can but worth asking.

One thing ive done was disassociate the flowchart from my UML profile which fixes the issue. (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/220/flowport.jpg/)

If i can get the UML profile i am using how do i modify it to recreate the flow port so it is not corrupted?

Thanks for the help. The "right-click > Advanced > Port Size Customizable" works but needs to be done to every port. Also all new ports i add revert back tot he large size. Is there something else i can try so all the new ports i create are automatically the smallest size possible (which is what i want)

General Board / Flowports in Sparx 9.x

I am currently using Sparx 7.5 and an looking to upgrade to sparx 9.2. the thing holding me back is flowports. In sparx 9.2 whenever I add flowports they are massive and i cant make them smaller. I even tried creating a new sparx file and was unable to create smaller flowports. Below is a url for an image describing my issue.

That helps. If there is no way to modify an existing UML profile without creating a new one thats what ill have to do. thanks!
