Suggestions and Requests / HTML generation  = RTF generation

A couple of ideas to bring the HTML generation in line with RTF generator.

Can it have an Abort button - the number of times I start and realise Glossary is not ticked...
Alternatively make Glossary ticked by default...

Can the HTML generation have an omit package option - in the same way RTF has?
For example I do not really want the viewers looking at my RTF master documents on the web site or other such model metadata.

Suggestions and Requests / Additional fields for project tasks & issues tabs

Is it possible to extend the list of fields in the project tasks & project issues tabs (systems tool bar) to include a response/outcome field. This will make it visually obvious when a task/issue has been "resolved".
Also can the tasks tab have a (due) date field as the issues tab does. Again this will make monitoring the tasks more visual.

This is really stretching my use of EA.

I can just about cope with creating the stereotype with the additional attributes, but what is the best metaclass to base it on?
Requirements is the obvious one but that does not alow me to to report across the links. One of my requirements...
Activity sort of fits. It could have requirements & constraints too, but it does not need scenarios or behaviours. Is it possible to delete these unwanted tabs?
Class is definitely wrong because risks will not have attributes or operations.
The biggest issue is connecting the risk to another element in the model. All I want it to offer is one type of connector - along the lines (no pun intended) of trace or realize.
How can I reduce/define the connectors to be available from the metaclass in the newly created risk?

If I create such a Risk profile, is this the sort of thing that should be shared on the community site?

Risks as implemented are applied to an individual element in the model, much like an internal requirement.
A single Risk could apply to many model elements/project areas.
In managing risk I should want to identify and monitor such a pervasive risk.

1) Can risks be made "external" like requirements?

2) Rather than just the weighting I would want Impact (1-5) & Likelihood (1-5)as fields.
    From this I can generate a value to prioritise - especially if I can add the frequency (from 1 above)

3) Against a risk I want to record its mitigation.
    I know I can record this within the notes but from reporting perspective I would want it documented as a separate column.

4) Dreaming further - I would want the RTF risk report to be driven from the risks; listing what it applies to; akin to the requirements matrix but ordered by score (Impact * Likelihood * Frequency).

Here is my wish list to improve Visio integration.

To fully support the import of Visio in to BPMN diagrams. Currently this is not easy and many icons are not supported. For example, swimlanes come in as diagram swim lanes not BPMN swimlanes, etc.
It is better supported by other BPMN tools (but not perfect).

When importing, can it create a package per diagram - this would make managing what has been imported easier.

Importing a Visio diagram currently creates a package with the name of the Visio file. Please can it drop the extension - vsd/vxd - from the package name.

General Board / IBM Blueworks import/export

Does anyone know how to export BPMN diagrams from EA to IBM Blueworks?
Also export from Blueworks to EA?
As a minimum Blueworks will import Visio. but how to get from EA to Visio?
I tried to do some integration a while ago when it was Lombardi Blueprint - it would not! I wondered if anyone had tried it since the product became rebadged by IBM.

General Board / YYYY Date format in RTF output

The RTF editor allows the entry of Date Time. AFAICS the formats are fixed.
Does anybody know how/if I can insert the date in YYYY format?
The rationale for this is, I want to add it to the document footer as part of the copyright.

I had the same problem and came up with the same solution to get the nested data accross two columns. not pretty; but it works.

Add the section (tick the box)
create the table(2x3) inside the section
Add the headings to the three cells in row 1
In row 2 add the section 1 fields you want in in cell 1
Now merge cell 2 & 3
add the new subordinate section (tick the box) with the cursor in the merged cell
Insert a new table (1x2) and add the fields from the subordinate section to the new table

Now generate...

I had a similar problem
It turned out to be a permissions problem with the version control system
The permissions had to be added separately to the model
