General Board / Re: Import of requirements

I have now resolved this issue - it was the ordering of the attributes in the CSV file which was preventing me from loading the requirements correctly in to EA.  Thanks for the help  :)

Hi Q

Thanks for the reply.  I am having difficulty seeing the requirements in the browser.  I have imported some requirements using the GUID = blank, Type = requirement and Stereotype = functional.  Then run the import.  I can see the requirements in the import dialogue window, but nothing is created in the project browser window???  Any ideas.  I suppose once I have it in the browser I can just follow your instructions.

Ta.

Hi

This is probably going to seem like a very basic question.  I have imported a list of requirements as a CSV file in to EA and this seems to have been successful  :).  However, how do I make/ display these as requirements elements in a diagram in EA?  Hope this makes some sort of sense, as a new user of EA I be grateful for any help, thank you.

General Board / Project Security Authorisation Key
« on: August 03, 2015, 09:01:14 pm »
Hi

I am unable to cut and paste elements between drawings/ packages.  Looking in to this further I have found that I do not have the correct security permissions on any projects, same for all my team.  When trying to change the security permissions I am being requested to enter an authorisation code, I have tried using the licence key number but this does not work.  Any ideas on what I should entering here? Thank you :)

No worries someone in my office has just pointed out what the authorization key number is  :)

Hi Geert

Thanks for the reply.  The first link you sent on auto numbering explains best what I was thinking about.  Though the 2nd link on package numbering, looks very useful also.

Thanks for your assistance.

General Board / Numbering/ References on process/activities

Hi

I am new to EA and new to the forum.  We are looking to use EA for business analysis in my current organisation, quite soon.  I was asked a question if EA can provide a ref/ numbering automatically on process boxes or activities?  Having played about with Activity and BPMN diagrams I notice there is no automatic generation of references.  Is it therefore possible to switch on refs/ numbering as this seems a fundamental part of a process diagram.   Someone in the team did mentioned their could be implications for linked components.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I am completely new to this software and just feeling my way in the dark.  If anybody could help that would be much appreciated, thank you  :)
