Hi,

Well V5 didn't have this feature. Can you tell me when (if ever) it is likely to be included. If its more than a month away then I have to find sometype of workaround.

Cheers, Peter

Hi Bruno,

Thanks for the prompt responses Bruno - much appreciated.

Yes - in the diagram iteself I just want column names only, not attributes.  In the text documentation for each table I want everything (as it is now), e.g. column attributes, description etc.

Hi Bruno,

Yes - that's what I want to do. I've already tried the Element Features > Specify Feature Visiility area but I couldn't work out a way of hiding attributes, e.g. Data Type, Initial Value etc.

What do I turn on/off in that dialog box?

Cheers, Peter

Hi,

I see this didn't make it into 751. Any idea when (if) this fix will be made? The problem I have is that showing all the table attributes in the diagram makes a number of my diagrams too big and when they print they simply cannot be read. Just being able to show the names in a table diagram would be great.

Hi,

I only want to show names in the table diagram and wanted to know how to do it. On Feb 15 I received this reply from Denk.
------------------
Oops - my error. The drop down selections only apply to operation parameters.

I'll look in to extending this option to the table attributes.
-------------------
Since then there has been two releases and this problem remains. I just thought I would raise it again here in case it didn't make it on to your 'things to do list'

General Board / Compare two models - how to?
« on: July 27, 2005, 03:44:30 pm »
Hi,

Via my own carelessness I've ended up with two 'current' models. I started Version 41 (copy of Version 40) on the 2 July and made changes then, on the 15th July I reverted back to Version 40 which I have been updating ever since.

I've run the model compare facility and it tells me where the difference are in terms of tables but is there any way I can actually 'see' what the differences are so I can incorporate the changes I have made since 15th July into Version 41 of my model?

Hi Henk,

Thanks for that - I look forward to the update.

Re my product version comments - is this correct or haven't I correctly installed 4.51 yet?

Hi Henk,

Hide Attributes hides everything - I still need the names.

I tried all the selections in Show Parameter Details and there was no visible change to what is displayed.

Before posting this message I checked my version so I could pass it on and its 4.50.747 however, I did install 4.51 a few days ago. I have now reinstalled 4.51 and my version number remains the same.

General Board / Hide column attributes in diagram??

Hi,

Is there a way to hide column attribute info for tables, e.g. data type, precision etc, in the class diagram view? I've a good look in Options and Class Diagram properties and I can't see the option - does it exist?

Cheers, Peter

General Board / No Data Type in columns combo box?

Hi,

In Tables Properties > Table Details > Column Attributes the Data Type combo is empty. I'm using EA 4.5.744.

Do I need to do something to populate this combo box or is this a bug?

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for that. I knew it was easy to do but I kept on looking for a menu selection.

General Board / Convert classes to tables?
« on: November 25, 2004, 06:39:00 pm »
Hi,

I've done a stack work in creating classes under Logical View > Logical Model. In fact what I've done would be better described as Tables under Logical View > Data Model.

Is there a way to change my Classes into Tables and move them into the Data Model section. I want to retain all my multiplicities.

Cheers, Peter
