Suggestions and Requests / Request: Support for read-only eap files

It would be nice if EA could support eap files with the read-only flag set.
I know that it is the dB engine that complains about the read-only state of the file, but EA could check that before invoking the dB engine and make a local copy in some temporary folder. Then if EA supports acctualy doing changes to the temp file or not is of no importance to me, but I guess it would be nice if it prohibited that as well.
