General Board / Sequence Diagrams - message separations

When I draw a Message & response EA spaces these (down the page) with a 'generous' spacing
I can 'compact' this spacing using shift drag
But often find that subsequent additions to the diagram triggers EA to re-Apply the 'generous' spacing

??Is there any way to stop/control this

General Board / Open LDAP / Active Directory modelling

Is there anything in EA which already covers this
I'd like to be able to document which parts of the LDAP object classes/attributes our systems actually use & how/where we've applied our own custom classes/attributes

I've used the DB reverse engineering tool to pull in table structures/relationships before

??Is there something similar for LDAP/AD

Otherwise it looks like I'm going to have to draw up a Class Diagram/Tree model to 'plot' what we do use

Any help - appreciated

I've seen some of the comments on the forum around BPMN backward compatibility

qwerty - can you point me at this script you think needs to be run
If not run - what are the implications
Can I avoid running such a script if I export my models from v9.3 and then import after upgrading to v11 (assuming I set up a new DB as well)

We are currently running EA v9.3.395 Corporate Edition

We are considering an upgrade exercise to bring us up to the latest V11

EA repository is stored in an MS SQL Server 2008r2 DB

Has EA published a document providing recommended upgrade steps

General Board / Model Publisher

EA Version 9.3.935

The Project | Model Publisher menu brings up the Publish Model Package dialogue window

There is a drop-down [highlight]Stylesheet[/highlight] option
Help docs suggest that we can apply an xsl to produce HTML output (for example)

Haven't been able to find an XSL stylesheet to import for EA modelling elements

Does anyone know if EA provide one - or can point me at one

Is there an EA enhancement/plug-in which enables an ERD to recognise GIS geometry data types from a PostGIS Db

The method that we've used here is:

1. Publish the model as HTML on a web server.
2. Publish links to specific elements in confluence.

Since the low level linking relies on GUID, republishing the model from EA, refreshes the content.

This mechanism is what I was about to set up - just wanted to check that there isn't a better solution

Do you refresh the web server from the model automatically or manually

I know i can use the HTML Report generator to export snapshots of my model out to a web-server

I was wondering if there is a plug-in for Confluence which would let me link to diagrams in Enterprise Architect

Does anyone know of one

I have seen

but this seems to be linking requirements <> JIRA

I was hoping to find something which would allow me to 'link/embed' my UML diagrams in EA into my design documentation in Confluence

Any pointers gratefully received

It would be nice if I can 'reverse engineer' some old BPEL into a a Process diagram or similar

General Board / HTML reporting

If I generate a HTML report (from a model/package level section of my modelling repository) to a directory on my web-server for Intranet user viewing

Can I configure EA to  refresh that HTML report periodically (daily overnight for example) - so that I can have reasonable confidence that my web-users will have up-to date information

OK - i Have just found the 'Server Based Repositories' page in the EA help docs

So PostgreSQL does appear to be suitable for EA usage -

I would still like to hear from anyone who has had any significant problems/issues & associated workarounds

Has anyone used PostgreSQL as the underlying database for Enterprise Architect
