Hi,

I want to set size of an attribute for a class. For eg in Class 'A'  have an attribute "Test" size String (10).  May I know how to set size of a string ?

Hi,

  Well the project here is a local project.  There is a reference model, overwritten on save. I wanted to avoid any changes to reference package.

Let me try option of security.

   Need to set re-ference model as read only so that, any referential changes are not updated in the model.

Here I need to copy the class from a package to other, change the class.

Bugs and Issues / Constaints not in XML schema

Hi,

I am using EA Ver 7.5 Build 844.  
Here are the detailed steps I did -

1.   Applied OCL constraints on attributes of a class
2.   Transformed and generated XML schema

Problem is OCL constraints applied are not reflected in the XSD created.

Hi Jan,

  If they are in different projects, I cannot use the reference of one model in another.

 One of the model is a reference model, so even if i save the porject, I don't want any cahnge to this model.

Hi,

  I am using professional build of 7.5 version. We have multiple model added to a project. I am unable to set model to 'Read access',  so as to use it as a reference model.

Can somebody please help me on this.

Hi,

  I didn't find tagged value useful in this case.
  
  Let me explain with example.

  Let us say I have a base class ' Service Location' with one of the attribute (Service Code with data type 'String').
  On  inheritance, I need the child class to restrict the length of attribute 'Service Code' to String(20).

Also I need to hide some of the attributes in child class.

PS: WE ARE USING EA IN CONTEXT OF IEC-CIM.
