Suggestions and Requests / Color Code Individual attributes?
« on: August 16, 2014, 12:53:02 am »
Hi. I now understand that it currently isn't possible to color / colour (Depending on your location!) individual attributes within a class. I've created a Logical Data Model and need to colour code certain columns dependant on which source systems they're applicable to - I'd like to be able to do this at an attribute level, rather than a class level if possible, such as:

EXAMPLE_TABLE
COLUMN 1 (VARCHAR)
COLUMN 2 (VARCHAR)
COLUMN 3 (VARCHAR)
COLUMN 4 (VARCHAR)

I'm sure there are other instances in which this would be useful, but the model i'm recreating in EA was originally created in an old version of ErWin, and instantly shows people which fileds originated from where.

I'd also be open to any suggestions of another way to do this within EA without prefixing / suffixing the fields themselves with the system(s) as this isn't practical or elegant.

Thanks!  :)

Hi All,

I'm wondering if someone could advise whether it is possible to color / colour (Depending on your location!) individual attributes within a class? I've created a Logical Data Model and need to colour code certain columns dependant on which source systems they're applicable to - I need to be able to do this at an attribute level, rather than a class level if possible, such as

EXAMPLE_TABLE
COLUMN 1 (VARCHAR)
COLUMN 2 (VARCHAR)
COLUMN 3 (VARCHAR)
COLUMN 4 (VARCHAR)

Any help would be greatly received - i've tried the manual and searched the forums to no avail.
