Suggestions and Requests / ATtribute Values in Instance Diagrams
« on: March 31, 2009, 10:39:13 am »
There should be a new column in attributes, (Instance Value?)  that allows us to specify values to be displayed for an instance of a Class in Instance/Object diagrams, and this value should be unique to each Instance.  Initial value does not work for this as it changes the Initial value for ALL instances of the class.

This capability exists in Vizio Instance Diagram and as a result I end up using it for all my instance diagrams.

Please free me from having to use Microsoft!  ;)

General Board / Re: Team Foundation Server Error: 30063

Well it turns out that I haven't had to actually sign into Team Foundation Server in months and they had changed my login username.  Once I got the correct username (with password), I was able to get the configuration to take.

General Board / Team Foundation Server Error: 30063
« on: September 19, 2007, 03:13:18 pm »
I'm trying to get TFS registered as the version control server for EA v7.0.815.  Whenever I attempt to "save" the configuration, I get the following error:

Error while initializing Version Control Provider
TFS reports he following error:
TF30063: You re not authorized to access [IP of our TFS Server]

I'm presently working with TFS through Visual Studio 2005 on the same box and can issue commands to TFS from the command line.  I've been told by the TFS administrator that I have full rights to TFS.

Does anyone know what is causing this problem and/or how to fix it?

Thanks

Bugs and Issues / Re: Importing Source Controlled Package
« on: April 23, 2009, 06:03:48 am »
Darin-

I've spoken to Sparx support about this issue and it turns out I have some "login" issues with Team Foundation Serever that are unrelated to Enterprise Architect.

And it turns out if you import a soruce control package into a project other than the one that created it, it will import it as a source controlled package.  I was trying to import the same package twice (by renaming it externally) so I could have version1 & 2 of the same model in the same project.

Bugs and Issues / Importing Source Controlled Package
« on: March 31, 2009, 07:17:22 am »
I'm having no luck importing an already source controlled package into EA.   I have created controlled packages but not at the top of the Source Control Tree (several directories down).  When I do "Import Package" I see nothing listed under it unless the package is at the top of the source controlled tree, which is very restrictive as I have models all over the place.

There used to be in a previous version an option to import a Package from a source controlled xml (output of a source controlled package) and have it know that it is coming from a source controlled file, therefore that it should be a source controlled package.  That capability now appears to be gone.

So how am I supposed to include existing Source Code Controlled packages in a model?

Thanks
