Hi,

I use EA quite intensively, and so far have not found any inconsistency with  UML 2.0. What I have found is that EA's help documentation is pretty much up to date in regards to 2.0. Hopefuly, the EA critics that elaborated the survey could be more specific.

Cheers,

Jaime

I met with the other team members, it turns out they were confusing UML 2.0 model support in EA with the ability to export UML 2.0 models from EA in XMI. Thanks for the comments.

You don't mention who carried out the survey, or where. If it was internal, or if you know the authors (or their organization), you should ask them what they considered "incomplete" about EA.

It was an internal study. I've haven't yet met with the contributors who offered the criticism yet. I plan on asking that question but your response implies to me that to your knowledge EA is a pretty complete implemetation of UML 2.0 . Is that accurate?

General Board / EA uml 2.0 implementation

I’ve been using EA for a couple of years and recommended it to my client for an upcoming project. A market study was carried out that compared EA to Rational Rose, Borland, and Rhapsody UML modeling tools. The most heavily weighted feedback that worked against EA was that it does not offer a complete UML 2.0 implementation. I’ve been trying to find out what is missing and compare it to the others mentioned but I haven't found any studies or comparisons so far and I thought I might be able to get some good guidance here. Thanks for any help…
