General Board / Re: MDG Integration for Visual Studio dead?

This is super frustrating since I just purchased EA and I'm now reconsidering it.

I'm the lead architect on two big projects with a major airline here in the US and was about to recommend EA as one of the tools. I'm reconsidering my recommendation based on the lack of support for Visual Studio. I would say that Visual Studio and Ecplise would cover the majority of development IDE's (besides Delphi and a few others). Now that Sparx Systems is not supporting Visual Studio anymore, I'm getting serious doubts if Sparx Systems will even stay in business much longer.

I guess I have to look for alternatives and for my money back.

Hello Aaron,

Thank you for replying. It's a real bummer to see that Visual Studio is no longer supported. I would have guessed that the Visual Studio market would be big enough to provide revenue for Sparx.

Can I make a recommendation? Since you are charging extra in order to get MDG integration for the older Visual Studio editions, why not include this feature into EA directly? It would provide value to the EA product as a whole and it could offset the VS 2012 support?

Thank you,
Thomas Jaeger

General Board / MDG Integration for Visual Studio dead?

I just purchased EA a few days ago and needed to integrate with Visual Studio 2012 Premium and to my surprise, EA does NOT appear to support Visual Studio 2012? What gives?

Visual Studio 2012 has been out for a very long time. Is Sparx no longer supporting Visual Studio? Please tell me that this isn't so.

The current link to MDG Integration for Visual Studio here at http://www.sparxsystems.com/products/mdg/int/vs/index.html
does not mention anything about VS 2012?

Super frustrating!!!
