Hi,
I'm trying to export a State Machine diagram. Tried copying it to the clipboard and using documentation to export it to word.
In both cases the right hand side and bottom of the diagram is chopped off. Tried expanding the diagram in word using crop but it looks like that part of the diagram didn't make it out of EA.
I do this almost daily with EA and am at a loss to solve it for this diagram.

Help please.

Afternoon,

When adding a name to a Sequence Flow between two activities in the SequenceFlow Properties editor, when I hit the OK button, an error appears

"Microsoft Cursor Engine [-2147217864]

Row cannot be located for updating. Some values may have been changed since it was last read."

Then after clicking OK another dialog pops up with:

"ADODB.Recordset [-2146825069]

Operation is not allowed in this context"

I click OK. Name I entered is displayed but is not saved with the diagram.


This is on an BPMN 2.0 diagram. It occurred on an existing diagram and a new one I tested it with. Happens consistently no matter who is logged in.

IT help desk tells me we use TNS Names via Oracle drivers not Microsoft. Any advice / help please?

Thanks Roy. That worked.

Another small thing, a model (not a root model) is automatically visible and selected when I enter EA. Btw, its not one I'm currently working on - I was though. Its only a small thing but I'd rather the project browser just showed a list of root nodes with nothing selected.

General Board / Stopping default diagram opening when open EA?

Just upgraded to 11.0. When I open EA, one particular diagram is open by default and also on the project browser. Long since stopped working on that diagram but it still happens every time.

How do I stop that please? Don't want anything to open when I open EA or if that isn't possible at least the last thing I worked on.

In EA you can use your profiles to design one or more toolboxes, please refer to http://www.sparxsystems.com/uml_tool_guide/sdk_for_enterprise_architect/custom_toolboxes.html

Try YOURPROF::YOURELEMENT(UML::State) as an entry in the toolbox(stereotype) element that extends the ToolboxPage

thanks for the reply. I'm virtually a beginner in EA. Where in the dialogue for the stereotype do I put the UML::State thing? Can you be really explicit please.

Also what does the UML::State notation mean?

I want to add some pre-defined tags to the State and State Machine properties dialogue.

I've created a profile with a State and stereotype that extends it. I added 2 tags to the State on the profile. I exported the profile and imported it. It appears as a resource and I can find it in the toolbox. Only the stereotype appears in the toolbox.

I've tried dragging the stereotype from the toolbox onto a normal state chart diagram with a state on it. I've also tried dragging and dropping it onto the state on the diagram. Nothing works.

Can anyone help please.

Hello,

Is it possible to export a BPMN diagram (or possibly BPEL) such that it can be imported into OpenText's workflow tool - part of its enterprise content management system.

If it is possible, I'd appreciate a few sentences on how to do it and any add-ins needed. Also minimum version number of EA. We are still on 8.0 here.
