General Board / Upgrading from v12 to 13 - anything to do on the database side?

We're running v12.1.1229 and want to upgrade to v13.0.1309. 

What's the process for the back end, if any?  Do we just install the new client and then users upgrade their projects?  Or, do we need to run a database upgrade script, and where would that script be found?

I'm guessing since I can't find any doco on the site regarding this, that it's very straight forward, but I wanted to check.
