General Board / Re: Exported diagram has empty space
« on: April 07, 2021, 10:26:37 am »
Any update on this bug 15.1 still has this problem after all these years.

Latest information:
This appears to be a bug when one of the packages is selected to "Exclude From Generated Reports".  The random generation appeared when my 2nd package was excluded.  When I un-checked the exclusion box the issue went away.

I've just generated my first document in EA14 and it came out in completely random order from a packages perspective. In the document generator, under "Order" the defaults are selected as "Tree Order" and "Ascending".

There appears to be no ordering behind the generation.  The first package in my project tree was generated last, the first package generated was 3rd in my tree, etc.

Nothing like this ever occurred in EA13, 12, 11 or 10.

Bugs and Issues / Sequence Connector Properties Doesn't Work
« on: May 19, 2018, 08:47:03 am »
Trying to switch the life-cycle of a sequence diagram connector to 'New' does not work.  The change never takes affect.
With the dialog box not having an Apply/Ok button, does anyone know how to get around this?

Is it possible for the Properties Dialog box be configured as Modal?
thanks,
DN

Thanks Simon.
Is there a help guide that describes all the capabilities/settings/features that moved locations in the GUI from EA13->14?

In EA13 and previous, one could right click on a package and remove it from document generation.
Does anyone know how you do this in EA14?

thanks,
DN

KP,
Thanks very much!

I'm surprised Sparx didn't see this earlier.  All it takes is the creation of a new sequence diagram.

Do you know if there is a way to get back to EA13 mode?
thanks,
DN

Bugs and Issues / Re: Copy/Paste and crash issues
« on: May 11, 2018, 07:59:48 am »
My opinion is that this is a memory leak in EA.  In EA10-13 I noticed that if I reboot the bug goes away for a little while, then comes back.
In EA14, which I just installed 2 days ago, it seems to be fixed.  However, EA14 still seems to have a bug where too much white space is copied.

In EA13 (and previous versions) the sequence diagram connector properties was not-dockable and had a typical Ok/Cancel button.  EA14 doesn't seem to have this and after changing a property of a connector (e.g. from async to sync) nothing happens until you select another connector in the diagram.   If there is no other connector in the diagram, nothing happens.

Is there a way to get back to EA13 mode for the connector dialogs?

After upgrading from EA13 to EA14 I noticed the following interaction relationships missing:
1) From the Sequence/Interaction Diagram the self-message is missing.
2) From the use-case diagrams "Invokes", "Precedes", etc is missing.

Is there a way to get these back?
thanks,
DN

Bugs and Issues / CTRL-B diagram with huge margins
« on: January 26, 2018, 01:10:23 pm »
There was a previous thread with this topic in 2014, but it was unresolved.

When I copy an image to the clipboard or generate a document I often get an image with a 30% (or greater) right and bottom margin.  The resulting image is thus 2/3 of the size it should be.

Any ideas?

I'm running EA13.5 on Win10 but have been putting up with this since EA10 on Win7.

I am running v13.5 and have the same issue, however I wonder if it is a MSFT Windows 10 Issue.
When I copy diagrams using the clipboard to PowerPoint, e-mail, etc. much is cropped off.
A system reboot solves the problem for a few days then it happens again.

However, a clipboard problem I have had since EA v10 is the document is copied with 30% more right and bottom margin leaving too small an image.
