hello
i am new to EA and currently using the trial version.
is it possible to give different users different type of prmission? i have few scenerios. some of them are:
1.mr.x will have read permission to Use case,sequence diagram and write/modify permission to class diagram.
2.mr.y will have only testing permission.
3.mr.z will have only code generation permission.

i installed the trial version 30 days ago for personal use but now my company is interested to buy the software and asked me to find out the features in details and how they work. but i can not use the trial version as 30 days are gone. i want to use it for more 30 days. how it is possible?

i have imported some C# classes into EA. The class diagram shows all attibutes, methods and also properties. Is there any way so that I can remove the properties from the diagram??

hi.
i managed to use Source Safe with my EA project. But there is one problem. I have few packages and each package contains multiple (10/12) use cases. Seems EA maintain control on packages. So if anyone checked out a package others cannot check that out.
In a single package i have multiple use case writers to write different use cases. With this type of package control multiple writers can not write use cases simulteneously under version control.
Can anyone help me with some good idea?

I am trying to use Visual Source Safe for version controlling. After creating and putting my EA project into source safe, when i try to open the project from the client machine by "get latest", it gives me an error.

The error is---"The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file 'D:\my EA project.EAP'. It is already opened exclusively by another user or you need permission to view its data."

But no one has opened the project and i have permission as well.
can anyone help me in this regard? pleaseeee

General Board / writing test results and generate test document

hi
If i want to keep multiple results for the same test case over time, how would i do that? Seems EA has onlu one last run/result option.

Again, I have 1 package with 10 use cases. Each use case has their own multiple unit test cases. When I generate report it shows report for the package. But I want report for 1 use case. How would i do that?

can I control the version of my project in EA with source safe? In the version control option, TFS is  there. I don't have TFS, i have Visual source safe.
Does anybody know about this?

i have some requirements that is report.
I choose "type= report" from the combo box that is in the properties tab of the requirement. But i neeed to show this in the diagram like tag value. How would I do this?

hi.
I have created a requirement diagram and I name each element as REQ-1, REQ-2.....REQ-15.
When I generate the rtf document it displays the discription like REQ-1, and then REQ-10 to REQ-15 and then REQ-2, REQ-3..

But I want it sequencially like REQ-1, REQ-2.....REQ-15.
How can I do that ..??
is there any help??

I need some help for the following problem.
I have created a project and worked with requirement diagram and use case diagram. and my colleague worked with Class diagram in a different project. Now can I merge these 2 projects into a single project? or in other words can I import other project?
Is there any help?

Bugs and Issues / Problems with Data Model - timeout expired

I have connected my EA with SQL Server 2005 and using 10 users simulteneously. I have a data model into which i have about 400 tables, that i imported from my database.
My problem is in the project browser when i click one table, the system takes a long time and finally says " Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server [-2147217871]. Timeout expired".
Surprisingly it doesn't happen with all the workstations. The problem occurs in only few of them.
Is there any help in this regard?
