General Board / Manage Searches
« on: March 23, 2012, 01:05:59 am »
Good morning.

I have been able to create some useful searches for controlling document generation in RTF documents but would like to share them. Currently, they are only available to myself. Is there a way to have them appear in the list of searches to other members of the team.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

General Board / Re: Using EA with Visual Sourcesafe

Thank you Nestevao.

The client standard imposes that as the only source control and unfortunately, we will need to do version control as various teams will be working on the saem project.

Not my choice of using VSS. The client standards are imposed.

General Board / Relationship matrix
« on: February 21, 2009, 02:15:42 am »
Hello everyone and thanks in advance for any advice. I am documenting the requirements and the features (application features) implementing them. Does anyone know if there is a way to filter in only the approved requirements in the matrix other than managing this through using different packages.  Thanks.

General Board / Virtual Office

Because of client environment, i cannot connect my laptop to their network. Has anyone tried running EA within a virtual environment on a USB key or a portable hard drive. Certain softwares (like ceedo) offer to your your software on clienc PC without requiring an install on the client PC but run you own licenced copy.

Thanks

General Board / RTF Generator
« on: March 01, 2008, 09:03:58 am »
Hello everyone. I am using diagrams with linked objects in them. These objects then only appear in the package where they were first created and not in the package where the diagram showing them as linked. When i generate the RTF document, these linked objects do not appear in the report. Is there an option in the RTF template editor covering this or ???

Thanks for your help.

Yikes ! !

I guess i could make each screen mockup in separate packages with each their GUI elements but seems a bit extreme to have to do that

General Board / Reporting Acceptance testing items

I have attached acceptance testing items to use cases and user interface objects of screen mockups. Unfortunately, when printing the screen models, all the screen diagrams are printed and then the gui objects.

Is there a way to have the diagram and then the gui objects it contains printed and then the next screen diagram.

I am using version 6.1.788.  Thanks

Bugs and Issues / Re: Using issues and reporting them against elemen
« on: August 26, 2009, 05:54:07 am »
You can forget my post. I found the answer. Unfortunately, the ElementIssue.Issue construct in the RTG generator only deals with maintenance issues reported against an element. It does not seem to deal with the Issue object that ressembles the requirement object in the common area in many toolbloxes even if you connect it to an element.    Dommage.

Bugs and Issues / Using issues and reporting them against elements

Hi everyone. I have created an Issues model. In a separate use case model, i am matching the requirements (from a third model) and the issues to use cases and run the RTF report to demonstrate coverage of requirements and issues in the use case model (which represents the to be solution). The issues never come out as the issues associated to the use case. The RTF template does have the ElemIssue.Issue constructs in the template. Is there a specific connector to use (trace, realize, ???) or am i missing something. Thanks for your help
