Is there any progress on supporting "abstract", "unique" and "key"? I am very interested on them too.

It did! Thank you very much!

I must have missed it because "Default Layout" was checked all the time...

Suggestions and Requests / Problem with the tagged values window
« on: February 23, 2005, 01:43:23 pm »
I am using EA 4.50.747 and ran into an annoying thing: the "/View/Other Windows/Tagged Values" menu option is checked, but the window is nowhere to be found. Nothing noticeable happens when clicking on it, it doesn't even change its state.

I must have closed it or "unpinned" (?) it at some point, but is there some way of resetting the user interface to a working default?

Thanks for any tips,
Luis

I think it is long for a post (17k) and doesn't work well: the report generated has multiple display problems, maybe (I am fully guessing here) because the frames have a fixed size.

(Frames are Word's text boxes, as used in figures. The idea of the sample file sent to me was to replace the table cells in the original requirements report with these boxes.)

A good work-around is to create a report without tables. Copy the original template in the template manager, modify the copy to get rid of the tables, and use it to create your report.

I now have an answer from Sparx, my report has been confirmed to be a bug in Enterprise Architect 7 build 816: empty lines cause problems in RTF template reports.

Thank you for pointing this out.

I have reproduced the problem - it appears that it occurs when there are paragraph markers in tables.

I have passed it on to be corrected. Hopefully by next build.

In terms of a short term work around - the only solution I can see is to create a template with the same fields but not using the table.

I have attached one using frames.
<<Requirements Template Using Frames.rtf>>

I hope this is of help.

Best regards,

Dermot O’Bryan

Actually, I found the problem on a freshly downloaded/installed build 816. I already filed a bug report.

Now that I see the start of the thread more carefully, my problem is different from what is described at the start of the thread: if the "notes" field has an empty line anywhere, it is omitted from the template-based RTF report!

I have the same problem but with the Requirement elements: if there is any empty line in the element's Notes (either in the middle or at the end of the field), the whole field is omitted from the template-based RTF report. The RTF switch-generator works though.

My template-based RTF report was working fine 30 minutes ago... in EA 6.5
