Suggestions and Requests / Adding new view in the project viewer
« on: May 02, 2005, 07:28:55 am »
Hi all,

When adding a new view in the Project View, EA prompts me with two separate dialog boxes, one for the name of the view and the other for the icon.  Wouldn't it make more sense to consolidate both of these dialogs into one?

Cheers
George

speaking of which... are you going to (in some point) introduce some formated text into objects?

I don't know if it goes against UML specification but i think it could be a huge leap forward for the documentation.

At least in the Notes section of objects to be able to import RTF will be very desirable.

This would be highly desirable IMO.  I hate having to edit the RTFs procuded by EA in order to get the right look and feel.

General Board / Documentation question
« on: April 16, 2005, 11:08:09 am »
Hi all,

I'm having a bit of trouble while creating an RTF file for one of the packages I'm working on.  I don't want to digress too much so I'll get to the point.  I ended up turning off all options in the RTF Report dialog box.  In other words, I unchecked all check boxes in the 'For each Object Include' section, I selected 'All' for the 'Exclude details for' section, I unchecked all check boxes in the 'Options' section and did not include the 'Glossary', 'Tasks' or 'Issues'.  When I generate the documentation I still get the Notes text printed out for all the Events in the package.  I was expecting nothing to appear except for the Title and Introduction.

I don't know if this makes any difference but these Events are defined inside an ActivityPartition.

Can somebody shed some light into this?

Thanks
George
