Can someone please advise if I can import business processes from ARIS into Enterprise Architect, and export use cases / context diagrams from Enterprise Architect into ARIS

General Board / Sparx diagram generating capabilities

Hi

As previously mentioned, I am evaluating Sparx EA8 for a project and I have a few questions on the capabilities.
I have successfully managed to create a Context View / Application landscape component model (in UML 2.0), and a few integration scenarios (e.g. using connectors between the front-end channel applications, integration layer and backend applications).

My CIO would like to know what Sparx EA 8 has to offer, in terms of automatically generating diagrams / different views for various stakeholders.

I see that Sparx can generate an activity, sequence & state machine diagrams + test cases from a use case.

Our Business Analysts typically model the business processes on the project between Level 1 and Level 5 in ARIS, and provide the narrative description of the processes in their functional specifications. Requirements are captured in a separate repository.

How should I go about capturing the business processes / use cases with minimal effort / do I need to have a use case to generate other diagrams?
I did not see the use cases being linked to an application or infrastructure in the online examples - How do I do this?
Are there any other views that Sparx EA8 can generate?

I would really appreciate your feedback.

I managed to figure out how to automatically change the entire object color based on the Stereotype and Status. I'm just trying to figure out if I can now replace the fill color with an image (of a PowerPoint shape with a gradient fill - looks better than a single fill color).

General Board / Status Type color

Hi

I am evaluating the trial of Sparx for a massive project (with more than 180 components that I need to indicate on 1 page / (Context diagram).

I have managed to add a number of Status Types (e.g. Application unchanged, Out of Scope, New, Minor impact, etc) and linked each Status Type to a color.
However, the Status Type color only applies to an Element Shadow / outline. I need it to apply to the entire element / component (i.e. Component Fill). Any way for me to do this?

Use View on the menu toolbar to open the Element properties pane.
Selecting the element then displays the property and you can change it.

Bug alert: selecting several elements and changing a property does not, as you would expect, change the property on all selected elements. (EAUI)
