Suggestions and Requests / Ability to Check Out a branch would be useful.

Similar to the Check In Branch functionality in the Package Control popup menu a Check Out Branch menu item would be extremely useful.

Thanks,

Sam

General Board / Re: Oracle 11g data types are not listed within EA

Yes, I am using build 858 - Program Version 8.0.858 (Build:858) - Unicode.  I created a new project as a test, but don't see any of the new Oracle data types:

General Board / Oracle 11g data types are not listed within EA.
« on: April 16, 2011, 02:51:44 pm »
When doing data modeling for an Oracle DB, I don't see all the Oracle 11g data types.  Do I have to manually define these if they are missing?  Here are the data types defined in 11g - not all are shown in EA:

http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E18283_01/appdev.112/e10646/oci03typ.htm#insertedID2

In particular, the BINARY_DOUBLE, BINARY_FLOAT, and TIMESTAMP data types.

In the Resources section of the Additional Downloads site I saw additional data type files for Access and SQL Server 2008/2005, but not for 11g.  Are these available anywhere?

Thanks,

Sam

General Board / Re: Importing/Re-sync after moving source director
« on: January 27, 2005, 01:30:48 pm »
Great, thanks.  I was able to do it using the  Configuration, Local Paths option.  I defined a path variable to the old directory and clicked Apply.  Then I changed the directory where the defined path was pointing to and it worked great.

Thanks,

Sam

General Board / Importing/Re-sync after moving source directory
« on: January 27, 2005, 12:33:43 am »
I have had to move the source code associated with a project that I reversed engineered into EA, modified, and generated new classes.  Now when I attempt to re-sync the model I end up with duplicate classes for all classes.  I have tried the Synchronize and the Overwrite options in the import source directory feature,  but both end up making duplicate classes.  Any one ever get around this?

Thanks,

Sam

General Board / .NET Base Classes Model
« on: January 12, 2005, 10:02:49 am »
Does anyone have a model file that has all the .NET base classes?  Or a tool to import a .NET Assembly?  I know EA has the Import .NET XML file feature where you can import the XML file specified at the bottom of this page:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/net/ecma/

But this file doesn't contain all the classes only the ones that will be part of the ECMA standard.  For example,  the System.Web namespace is not included.

Thanks,

Sam

General Board / Is it possible to import a DLL into EA?
« on: December 05, 2003, 12:56:17 am »
I have a DLL provided by a third party for which I do not have source code to.  Is there a way to import the class and interface information from the DLL into a model?

General Board / How to quickly add all classes to a diagram?
« on: December 05, 2003, 12:53:36 am »
How do I quickly add all defined classes to a class diagram?  I can drag one class at a time from the project view, but I cannot select multiple classes.  Is there another way to add classes to the diagram?

Thanks,

Sam

Have there been any updates to this issue.  The 9.3.930 version of EA is still having this issue.  Is this an issue with the HTML generated by EA?  Or is it a Chrome issue?

Thanks,

Sam

Chrome has known issues with the HTML reports generated by EA.  See:

No known workarounds at this time other than to use a different web browser.

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / .NET Assembly Importer

Is there an Add-In for Enterprise Architect that can import a .NET Assembly?  I have seen some old posting regarding this topic, but nothing definite.  Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam
