General Board / Process boxes with 3 compartments?

Hi all

I am trying to create a diagram which contains process boxes with 3  compartments in them.  The first one would be the team carrying out the process, the middle one would be a brief description of the process including a unique ID, and bottom would be the name of the system where they are performing it.

E.g.

Logistics Team
-----------------
1.1.2.6 Order
enters work pool
-----------------
Order System
-----------------

Does anyone know of a good way of doing this?   I was hoping to modify something in UML Activity or BPMN diagrams but I havent found a good solution yet.  Is there any way of making extra compartments available?

General Board / Uploading list of Packages into the repository?

Hi all

I have a list of items that I would like to import directly into the EA Repository - either as Packages or as DataStores.  The list is simply in an Excel Sheet currently.

Is there a quick way in EA to import these directly in?  I am sure I managed to do it a while back but I can't remember how I did it - is the principle the same for Packages and DataStores (or any other type)?

General Board / 'Import DB Schema from ODBC' problem

Hi all,

I am having problems using the ''Import DB Schema from ODBC' feature in EA, and cannot seem to get it to detect any tables from the database I am pointing at.   I can list system tables OK if I check the 'include system objects' check box.

I have tried this with 'SQL Native Client' driver - 2005.90.3042.00, and SQL Server driver 2000.86.3959.00.

The ODBC data source I have set up uses Windows Integrated Authentication, and I can connect to the database with no problem and also run queries against it using query analyser etc.

Any ideas?   Thanks

General Board / HTML Report - Making Hyperlinks open in new Window

Hi all

I am creating a set of HTML reports from my EA models.  In many cases I would like to add hyperlinks on them linking to other diagrams (in separate models) and to other documents.  These links work fine but always open the target inside the automatically generated frame set.  Is there any way of forcing them to open in a new window?  I'd tried experimenting with adding target=_new into the URL but this doesn't seem to work.

General Board / Printing a large diagram onto A2 paper or above?

Hi there

Has anyone had experience of printing a big EA diagram onto paper larger than A3?  Part of my organisation has an HP DesignJet 500 printer which can print onto many sizes such as 'ISO A1 - 594 x 841 mm', But EA doesnt seem to allow you to specify this size.  My understanding is that the page size for an EA diagram is dictated by the Page Size/Printer settings you have assigned to it?   In my case, selecting 'ISO A1 - 594 x 841 mm' through the diagram properties (Page Setup -> Advanced) causes the diagram to revert to a blank setting or back to something like A4 or A3.

Any ideas how to work round this?  Or is there another way of printing a large diagram?    Thanks
