General Board / Underlined instances in sequence diagrams

Hi all,

In a sequence diagram, what is the diference between :

1) Dropping a lifeline from the toolbox and then setting his classifier ( Ctl-L ) , and

2) Dropping a class from the project view as a instance of element.

I expected the final result to be the same but it is not. In the first case I get a underlined instance ( good ), in the second I don't ( not good ). Even the icons in the project view are not the same.

Hello all,

I can create fragments in sequence diagrams, but is there a way to reference them in other diagrams. UML 2.0 has a ref operator, but EA does not have one. Is there an alternate way to do it?
