General Board / Re: Setting a default diagram for HTML documentaio

Typical,

After being stumped by this since Fiday, no sooner had I raised the qustion here, when I found the answer.

Simply open the diagram and from the Diagram menu popup select 'Set Up Model Default'.

If only the right click menu popup on the digrams or Project View offered the same options!

General Board / Setting a default diagram for HTML documentaion

Using EA's automated HTML documentation process, is there any way to specify a diagram so that it is automatically displayed upon opening the index.htm?

Hi Bruno/Sargasso,

Consider the situation that an Actors interaction with the system is to Produce 6 different Reports on Sales and 6 other reports relating to Administration.

At the highest/only level of Use Case Diagram you could simply say the User Produces Reports or you could create 2 Use Cases to say say that the User Produces Sales Reports and another Use Case to show that the user produces Admin Reports.

I might then want to show that the user interacts with the system to produce each of the 12 Reports. Visually it makes sense to see another diagram in which the user interacts with each of the 6 Sales Reports, which become individual Use Cases in their own right. It would then make sense to link the main Use Case "Produce Sales Reports" into the child Use Case diagram listing the Sales Reports and showing the user's interaction with them.

It appears from what you are saying that technically this is this too much detail to show in the Use Case Model.

I would be interested in hearing where you would then detail the 6 Sales Reports and 6 Admin Reports.

Thanks Simon for such a speedy reply.

Doh! what an obvious place to look.

Somehow, I had convinced myself that I needed to remove it via the resource manager or other internal EA component.

I have installed the trial version of the MDG add in for VS.net and it has now expired. I have decided not to buy it.

I now keep getting a request to the enter a valid licence key when I start EA. It allows you to close the dialogue and continue but it is getting annoying. There appears to be no option to remove the trial version.

Does anyone know if or how this can be done?
