General Board / Re: Show element list for diagrams
« on: July 08, 2008, 01:26:44 am »
Thx for your help, the cs output looked very promising but unfortunately i did not find any possibility to constraint the exported results only to the diagrams to get a list of their names!

General Board / Show element list for diagrams
« on: June 24, 2008, 12:54:43 am »
Hi all,

Sorry i have another list question ;-). In the project browser there exists the possibility to list all elements with rightklick->Show element list. Within this list one can even select another toolbox or technology for the filter option. Unfortunately i didn't spot this possibility to list all diagrams? any suggestions?

cheers

PS: I think it is time that ea getas a query mechanisms to simple export the desired elements without loosing their tree structure to an .xls document or something like that

General Board / list linked documents
« on: June 23, 2008, 11:12:06 pm »
Hi all,

The support for linked document is rather poor when they are attached directly to an activity. As they don't appear as explicit elements in the project browser is there another way to search for them or generate a list of all the linked documents attached to an activity?

General Board / Search for model hyperlinks in linked documents
« on: June 10, 2008, 10:40:03 pm »
Hi all,

We link to model elements from linked documents. Now one of the linked model elements has changed, now we have to adjust the hyperlink in every linked document. Is there a way to do a search and replace?

Thanks and kind regards,
Thomas

General Board / Re: HTML out: Transform tagged values as Attribute
« on: May 28, 2008, 08:54:40 pm »
Thx but it seems that only predefined sections can be edited with the template. I don't find a possibility to modify the html of Hyperlinks from the UML Elements toolbar.

General Board / Composite Elements define which diagram to show
« on: May 17, 2008, 12:59:07 am »
Hi all,

I marked an element as composite (for example a workdefinition in the spem profile). When I create one diagram within this element the user gets directed to the nested diagram while clicking on the element.

But how can i define the target diagram when i have more than 1 diagram within my composite element?

Thanks and greetings

General Board / Create hyperlink to link document
« on: May 09, 2008, 08:04:58 pm »
Hi!

I can define a Workdefinition as composite so the user will be directly linked to the child diagram when clicking on it.

But now the link to the linked document is lost, How can i create an external hyperlink to the linked document an place it with "details" next to the workdefinitions?

Thx and greetings

Edit: okay it is not only possible to attach a linked document to an element but also to create a "Document Artifact" which is available in the project browser

General Board / Re: Define double click behaviour of an Element

Thx for the hint it seems that the composite principle also works for the SPEM work definitions. Just rightclick on the element advanced -> and check Composite.

General Board / Define double click behaviour of an Element
« on: May 07, 2008, 07:17:11 pm »
Hi all!

I am using the SPEM Profile for EA and there you get to the contents of the ProcessPackage and the ProcessComponent when you click at these elements.

A Workdefinition or Activity can contain diagrams as well but when you click on these elements you got to the Properties.

How can a define that the user is directed to the contained Diagram when clicking on these elements. An emergency solution would be to crate a hyperlink with the size of the element, hide icon and text and place it over the element. But there must be a nice way to achieve this.

Thx and greetings

General Board / Re: Hyperlinks in Linked Document broken when it c
« on: May 07, 2008, 07:12:22 pm »
Hi all, seems that this issue is fixed in the 7.1 version. However when you click on a link (generated by drag on drop of an element from the project browser) you get to the element description and not to the linked document behind this element. This is an inconsistent behavior because normally you get directly to the linked document when you click on an element in the html output.

Hi all,

I want to describe elements using the linked document (strg+alt+d) mechanism. It is possible to create hyperlinks by drag and droping other elements into these documents. Unfortunately these links are appear to be broken in the html output.
Link address looks like ...html_report_test/linkdocs/$element://%7B50227CEE-5728-444f-A941-464E81AB7BE3%7D

Using EA 7.0.816

Thx and greetings

General Board / assign target or javascript to a hyperlink
« on: April 05, 2008, 12:52:37 am »
Hi all,

How can I assign a target or onclick javascript functionality to a hyperlink? This would be necessary for the generation of html pages. The hyperlink properties only contain Hyperlink Address, Alias or Notes.

Thx and kind regards

General Board / Add Elements from imported Profile to Project Brow
« on: April 02, 2008, 01:59:32 am »
Hi all,

I have imported an Uml Profile to my Resources (for Example SPEM profile). Now i want to create an Element in my Project Browser without the workaround to create a temp diagram first place drag and drop the element from the toolbox.

When I choose add element (strg+m) the new dialog is not very helpful selecting only the elements from the specific profile.

What is the best way to achieve this?

thx and kind regards

General Board / Cleanup Projectc browser
« on: March 31, 2008, 10:03:35 pm »
Hi all,

is there a way (shortcut) to remove all elements from the Project Browser which are not used in a diagram? When u delete an element from the diagram it always remains in the project browser.

Thx and kind regards
