Add  more properties to association context m
« on: June 20, 2007, 12:28:43 am »
I think usability would be improved if the context menu for associations were to include facilities to set the following properties:

Navigability
Containment
Aggregation
Access

Otherwise the user has to open the association properties dialog, select the appropriate role and set the properties there.

It seems inconsistent that the only property that can be set at the moment is multiplicity.

Not a bad idea at all.

There are some issues with Aggregation as it is presently handled by EA through the association properties dialog versus the toolbar. I'll leave you to search on the (somewhat famous) threads dealing with this. Correctness and consistency are therefore somewhat touchy subjects regarding this particular feature.

I haven't tried that (no time, pressure elsewhere), but a profile might help. Especially if I could configure the Quick Link so to create an Association with Aggragation in one draw (instead of half a dozen context clicks).
