v8 - Hyperlinked Notes

The new functionality of being able to hyperlink phrases in the Rich Text Notes is pretty cool....

Except (there HAD to be an except...  ) that the ability to execute the hyperlink is inconsistent:

You CAN do it in the Properties dialog [Alt+Enter] and in the Notes Window [Ctrl+Shift+1];

but NOT in Notes on the screen , in any form...  New Note, Linked Note, Note Compartment.

This DOES limit the usefulness of the functionality.

Before I submit a formal feature request, thoughts anyone?

I think I Ctrl+Click should execute it in most situations (It's not my area, so feel free to tell me if I'm wrong).

Sorry, Michael, doesn't do it for me...

In fact, even in the places where the Hyperlink IS executed, [Ctrl+Click] fails.

I suspect this is because EA provides you with a choice of things to do at the Hyperlink: Follow Link, Usage in Diagram(s), Find in Browser.

In the places where the Hyperlinks aren't even activated, it would seem they aren't surfaced onto the canvas.  So you don't see the little "hover bar".

One interesting and intriguing side-effect of having it work in the Properties dialog is that you can FINALLY have multiple Properties dialogs open simultaneously!  Just keep opening hyperlinks!  

Perhaps it's time to make the dialog, non modal - since it, effectively, isn't?
