shape connection points
« on: January 06, 2011, 06:47:28 pm »
Hi
I've noticed that some shapes (such as merge and decision in activity diagrams) have predefined connection points (namely the diamond edges) when drawing connectors to/from them.

Do you know how to define these connection points when defining a shape script?

Also, is it possible to override the pre defined connection points when , for instance, defining a custom shape for the merge/decision?

Many thanks
Davide

Hi Davide,

As fas as I know, you can't.

I suspect the functionality you are after is that on the old MIcrografx ABC Flowcharter which had EXACTLY that capability and was very useful.

I built my first conceptual modelling tool using ABC Flowcharter and MS Access...
