Labels need to be optionally Non-selectable
« on: March 14, 2017, 10:42:40 am »
We've started to do a LOT more work with Labels.  In particular, we have developed a multi-p0le-naming technology that uses labels to replace the name of the object in both rectangular and non-rectangular forms.  These labels are, typically, inside the object, not outside.  If the code would work (bug reported), we're trying to position them in standard locations with shape scripts.

One thing that REALLY irritates our users is that if they make the text of the label large (as you do to make the names easily visible on large diagrams etc.).  Without other metadata displayed on the item, the label can take up a considerable portion of the item and instead of selecting the item, with the mouse, the user selects the label!  The Labels need to be made optionally non-selectable so that the user can better select the object.
