Document Generation
« on: June 02, 2020, 07:57:11 am »
I've inherited a small EA model and have the Requirements elements coded by phase.  I'd like to generate a requirements document that only includes phases 1,2, & 3.
In the spec manager I've opened the 'document options' and tried to set the "Where Package Phase: options".  I now realize that only affects the Package Phase (and all the requirements are in a single package) and am trying to reset that.  I can't seem to generate a null option for the operator.  As a result I get an empty report, even though the Phase filter is set to 1.0 and the package phase is set to 1.0.
1.  How do I reset the Package phase filter, I only see '<' to 'like' and no null options
2.  What's the best way to limit my document to the specific phases my elements are coded to.  The phases are 1,2, & 3.

Thanks

I think you should be able to acheive it with the element filter in the document generation:
Open Generate Documentation on the package you want to generate the documentation for, click on Element Filters, then Add Filter, select Add Filter and Required against Phase and select the Condition as One Of, putting 1,2,3 in the value box.
I haven't tried it but think it will work.

I just tried, but the package phase filter in options doesn't seem to work for me at all.

Funny thing is that the operator initially is empty, but the dropdown doesn't have an empty option.
But since the default value is "All", I'm guessing the combination "=" with "All" should not filter anything (on the other hand, so should "<>" with "99999")
